The objective of the project is to find a solution that is as simple and integrated as possible for companies that are looking for innovation and digitization of processes in order to increase the productivity of machinery, reduce waste, optimize energy consumption and increase the overall efficiency of the company, processes and resources.
Information gathered from machinery is used to get an overview of the state of systems. This allows to have a predictive vision of events and possible malfunctions of a machine, allowing a better management of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance , thanks to which it is possible to avoid the unpleasant inconvenience of machine downtime.
To achieve this goal, research has focused on:
- Sensors: able to detect and diagnose the status of the system;
- Cooperative wireless networks;
- Interaction with production systems;
- Decision support tools for intelligent maintenance of machine tools and manufacturing systems.
